How to Get Your API Key
Last updated: August 2026
There's No Self-Service syncHR API
syncHR is a consulting and managed-services team, not a software product — there isn't a syncHR dashboard where you generate a key. If you landed here looking for API access, you're almost certainly trying to connect two systems in your HR stack, and the steps below get you to the right key faster than searching for one that doesn't exist.
Getting API-Level Access to Your HR Stack
- Identify the two systems that need to talk. API questions in HR usually come down to connecting an ATS, HRIS, or payroll tool to another one — for example, Ashby to HiBob, or Gusto to Rippling.
- Check with the vendor first. The API key you need is issued by that vendor (Ashby, HiBob, Deel, Rippling, Lattice, or Gusto), not by syncHR, since syncHR doesn't sell a platform with its own public API.
- If syncHR implemented or operates that system for you, ask your engagement lead. Requesting, configuring, and storing those credentials safely is part of the implementation and ongoing-support work we already do — not a separate self-serve flow.
- Not a client yet? Talk to us before you dig further. If you're evaluating whether syncHR can help you integrate or automate part of your HR stack, contact our team and we'll scope the integration work, API access included.
Why There's No Public API Reference
Because syncHR doesn't ship a product with a public API, there's no API reference to publish. Technical documentation for the systems we implement — Ashby, HiBob, Deel, Rippling, Lattice, Gusto — comes from those vendors directly; our team helps you apply it correctly to your specific setup.
